The International legion of Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) is a unit of foreign fighters under control of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence’s Main Directorate of Intelligence.
The DIU Legion operates separately from the Ukrainian Foreign Legion, under a different command structure, with different techniques, tactics, and procedures.

The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) Legion is a unit of foreign fighters under control of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence’s Main Directorate of Intelligence. It’s purpose is to conduct unit missions in the air, on the ground, and under water.
The DIU Legion operates separately from the Ukrainian Foreign Legion, under a different command structure, with different techniques, tactics, and procedures.
As an official military unit, the DIU Legion is bound by, and commits to uphold to the highest standards, the requirements of the Constitution of Ukraine, the Manuals of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and any International Laws to which Ukraine is a signatory.
The DIU Legion seeks foreign candidates who have:
a high level of professionalism, have previous credible military experience, display high morale and stress resistance, are determined, are reliable and responsible, are ready to perform tasks in extreme conditions, have a high degree of physical endurance, and are good team players.
